New zones unlocked offering new challenges to players
Foster City, Calif. -- July 21, 2011 -- Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a wholly owned US subsidiary of Perfect World Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PWRD), today launched the Imperial Citadel content update for its martial arts inspired MMORPG, Jade Dynasty, which unlocks a new level of Chroma, new Imperial Citadel map and Shura Gauntlet for players to discover.
“The already enormous world of Jade Dynasty just got bigger with the further addition of rich game features and additional maps via the ‘Imperial Citadel’ content update,” said Dean Sakurai, Product Manager for Jade Dynasty. “With this update, players will embark on new adventures in lands long forgotten in their ongoing pursuit of challenging the gods or, on the flip side restoring balance to the universe by crushing the ambitious pursuits of humans.”
With the battle between humans and Athan immortal race escalating, the discovery of a new level of powerful Chroma skills has set off an arms race as each side looks to gain an advantage. Long lost until now, ancient Athan legend describes the new level Chroma skills as ‘god-like’ and they were used during the first war against the humans, which had helped turn the tide of battle.
The Jade Dynasty Imperial Citadel content update will include the following features:
• “Gifts from Heaven” Daily Quest - Players can now accept this quest to receive free, random in-game prizes ranging from various buffs and stat items
• Imperial Citadel map – JD’s most advanced players will encounter new challenges fighting against new monsters, and taking on new quests in the pursuit of Chroma Bead rewards
• Shura Gauntlet instance - Test your skills against 35 stages filled with waves of monsters that get progressively more difficult; the more stages completed; the better the rewards
• Additional surprise features that will be revealed later
